No casualties have been reported. So far, the bridge links the annexation crime in the Peninsula to a region of southern Ukraine partially occupied by Russia.
Specialists are examining the site to determine when traffic over the bridge can resume. Retaining control of the crime in the region has been one of Moscow’s biggest successes.
In the war so far, it meant that Crimea was no longer cut off from other Russian health territories, but now the damage to the bridge could put Russia in a tough spot as Ukraine has both an advantage and leverage in any future negotiations with Russia.

The windows of their neighbours houses were also blown out, visibly shaken and gasping for air. With a quivering voice, the injured residents picked through the debris in their badly damaged homes.
All this played out as neighbours stood outside, some swapped While others tried to calm frightened children, the attack came as Ukraine, which is on a counter-offensive to recapture territories it has lost to Russia in the past few months, is making progress in Donetsk, where Kiev says its troops have reclaimed eight villages.
As per reports, this is the first substantive gain Ukraine has made in the last seven months.Ukraine’s troops are firing rockets and shells on the front line in Donetsk.
Perseverance is appreciated. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia’s new generation of ceramic intercontinental missiles would soon be deployed.
