Russia- Ukraine War Update:
There are claims and counterclaims over the control of the Eastern Ukrainian city of Bakmut, a mining town that once had a population of 70 000 people and has been the scene of some of the bloodiest fighting in Moscow’s 15-month Ukraine offensive.
The city has witnessed intense fighting in the past few days, and as a result, it now stands completely shuttered. On Sunday, the head of Russia’s private mercenary group echoed his claims of bakmut’s control.
Wagner Chief Evgeni pregocian said that this Fighters had captured all the territory and that bakmut would be handed over to the Russian army later this week. Foreign Ukraine said that its forces were still advancing around the edges of bakmut.
A Ukrainian Army General said that Keys forces still control a part of the city, though he accepted that area and its control is insignificant. The general said that forces are now planning to end Sacco City and would use the area under its control to enter the back boot or enter the back mood once the situation changes.
The claim was also defended by Ukraine’s Deputy Defence Minister Hussein, who said that the troops were still defending industrial and infrastructure facilities. The Ukrainian president followed me. Sunanski has also said that Russia has not fully occupied Bakmut.
Speaking on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Zielinski compared the destruction in Bakmut to what had happened to the host of the G7 in 1945.
