Today I am writting the blog on the india story. Now India is the favourite destination for foreign investors, and the numbers clearly tell the story.
A U.N. report says that India received the third highest foreign direct investment for new projects last year.
The total FDI into India rose from 44.7 billion dollars in 2021 to 49.3 billion dollars last year. Only the United States and the UK received more FDI.
Not just that, there’s more good news for India. India was also the second largest recipient of international project finance in 2022.
International project finance refers to International lenders providing debt or Equity to develop infrastructure projects, a sign of the growing influence of Indian companies.
There was a notable spurt in investments made by Indian companies abroad. Total investments by Indian companies tripled to 42 billion dollars last year.
